ABOUT.

CHALLENGE.

ResMed is a San Diego, California-based medical equipment company. It primarily provides cloud-connectable medical devices for the treatment of sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and other respiratory conditions.

This team building session happened the day before a conference. In order for the team members to familiarise with one another and make the following day’s internal meeting a success, this activity was suggested. The team members worked in different offices, hence it was important for them to get to know one another better.

SOLUTION.


This activity was conducted in Goa. They took part in the ‘Jeep Building’ activity. In this activity, this team was further divided into groups. Each group was given a certain number of pipes to help build the structure of the jeep in a stipulated time, with the help of the instruction manual. Aside from just building the structure, the groups also had to brand and market their jeeps.

OUTCOME.

Through constraints in time and material, the Resmed team understood the importance of project management abilities. The team was finally able to bond and connect with one another, which helped the conference’s success. Through an experiential learning procedure, a team with members working in different locations, were able to develop a team spirit.
