SOLUTION.

This outbound program started with an ice-breaker activity to get the team in the zone for the other activities scheduled for the day. Once the team was comfortable and energised, they took part in 3 more activities of which most members found the ‘Multi-ring’ activity the most realising and helpful. For this activity, the team was divided into 2 groups and there were 3 stations A,B and C marked by red tapes. At each of these stations, there were 2 different cololoured sets of concentric rings- one set for a team. Each set had 5 rings arranged with the largest diameter at the bottoms and smallest diameter on top. The intention was to move the rings from A to C via B, under certain conditions and constraints to create a specific arrangement.

OUTCOME.

By the end of the training program, the team had truly understood the importance of planning for the future and the ability to get back up after setbacks. The team was also reminded of the importance of problem solving ability, especially working as a team. The debrief session after each activity as well as at the end of the program helped the team to learn more about each other and themselves and share this with team members.
