The mission of an organization is the work it does and its purpose of existence. The vision of a company is it’s future plans- where it wants to be, what it wants to be doing. Both the statements are crucial in understanding the organization and how it works as well as understanding an individual’s role in the company's journey and growth.

Accomplishing the vision is a step by step process, which uses checkpoints at every stage in the form of short term goals. It is important for the leader to define the mission and the vision as well as plan the road to achieving the vision. A very far-fetched, ideal vision scenario could be beneficial to get the creative juices flowing as well as relentless hard work and perseverance could be put in.
